Travel Forecast

November 21, 2012, 9:48 PM by Scot Mundt

Travel Forecast

While this week started mild and dry, colder temperatures will soon arrive and so will the possibility for light snow.

We'll have a change in the weather on Thanksgiving with the passage of a cold front in the upper plains. It will be responsible for a 12 to 20 (or more) degree swing from Wednesday to Thursday.

Moisture will be limited with the colder temperatures, but a renegade rain or snow shower will be possible in northern KELOLAND.

There will be a better chance for snow in northern Minnesota on Thanksgiving. Otherwise, you can expect a decrease in temperatures for much of the upper plains.

For travelers returning home, both Saturday and Sunday are looking good. The only exception may be the Hills of western South Dakota.  As another cold front brings in cold air, snow may develop in the higher elevations of the west and southwest.
What ever your plans, stay aware of the weather conditions and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
