The Highway Patrol says a south bound semi-truck was stopped on Highway 115 near Baltic, waiting to make a left hand turn. A red pickup was behind the semi as they both waited for a northbound blue pickup to pass.
At this time, a southbound car driven by teen, came upon the scene and couldn't stop in time. The teen ran into the red pickup before crossing into the north lane, striking the blue pickup then the semi. The car split in two and caught fire.
The teen driver and the woman driving the blue pickup were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The woman's child was airlifted to the hospital. All three are in serious condition tonight.
The highway patrol says the teen was distract but not by a cell phone or any electronics.
