Tractor Rollover Seriously Injures Yankton Man

A tractor rollover critically injured a Yankton man today.

At approximately 10 a.m., emergency crews responded to a tractor rollover at State Highway 52 and Calumet Drive, west  of Yankton, near Lewis & Clark Lake.

Mark Yonke of Yankton was inside the cab when it rolled multiple times.  Investigators say Yonke was mowing grass at a townhouse property when the tractor rolled.

Crews  transported Yonke to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital. He was later transferred to Sioux Falls via helicopter.

This article has been revised to reflect the following correction:
Authorities clarified that Yonke was not ejected from the cab when the tractor rolled.
