A member of a popular acapella singing group will perform a big band concert later this month to help feed the hungry in Sioux Falls.
Tonic Sol-Fa member Shaun Johnson will perform at the Orpheum on December 17 to raise money for the group, Lunch Is Served, which provides meals to the working poor in Sioux Falls.
"We thought that's a real cool organization. I've never heard of anything like it and it's a smaller organization so we felt like we could grow with them and they took a chance on us and I think vice versa and this is the third year, so we just hope to keep sort of increasing their visibility and raise more money for 'Lunch is Served,’” Shaun Johnson with Tonic Sol-Fa said.
Johnson started this benefit concert at the Orpheum in 2011.
