The Salvation Army in Sioux Falls is banking on the generosity of the community, especially today.
That’s because any $20 bill that is dropped into a kettle turns into a $100 donation.
The match challenge may be more important than ever. The Salvation Army hopes to raise $50,000 through it. Right now, the organization is just $100,000 into the $350,000 goal.
Reaching that goal will support the Salvation Army through the Christmas season and beyond, including the warming shelter and other programs for struggling families.
If you don't have cash in your pocket, you can still make a donation to the Salvation Army by sending a text message. You can simply text "siouxfalls" to 71777 to donate.
