Time is running out for snowfall predictions. While some are still close, others are far off. Here's a rundown as to where I am at.
Rapid City is sitting pretty good with 63.3 inches so far, it's 101 percent of the prediction. Sioux Falls has 44.5 inches of the 53.7 predicted, 83 percent of the way there. Pierre is next with just over three quarters of the prediction. Aberdeen is way off with just about two-thirds while the Hills remain an embarrassment with not even half of the prediction. Guess I let the October blizzard influence me a little too much.
While there are about two and a half weeks to the deadline, I'd like to say there's still a chance to add to the totals. Such as a late April snowstorm in Sioux Falls in 1994. On April 28 that year, 10.5 inches fell on the city. The way this year has gone, anything is possible.
