A former Olympian is speaking to the public at Black Hills State University on the same day the 2012 Olympics starts in London.
Three-time Olympian Jim Spivey will be speaking about his experiences as a runner and philosophy regarding how to achieve goals at the Friday event at the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall. It starts at 7 p.m.
Spivey competed at the 1984, 1992 and 1996 Olympics, and has held head coaching positions at University of Chicago and Vanderbilt University.
Tickets for the event are $10 and available at the door. Proceeds benefit the BHSU Cross Country program.
