Today more than 100,000 Christian Rock fans are descending on rural South Dakota.
LifeLight holds its annual South Dakota music festival in Worthing this weekend.
LifeLight Communications is an "Evangelistic Proclamation Organization," and this Labor Day weekend festival is the biggest example of its outreach, welcoming hundreds of thousands of attendees to rural KELOLAND.
The event had all the trappings of any quality music festival, such as live tunes, food vendors, booths, camping, and, of course, mud, but something else unified concert goers as well.
“There's so many different, um, I don't want to say niches, but there's so much different culture, through hip-hop, through the hard-core scene, through skateboarding, I mean last year we even had some guys that came through and did basketball tricks, it's just so effective to where, we have so many different things, but at the same time, it's all to glorify Christ,” Youth Minister Dylan Harreld said.
For LifeLight attendees, the weekend includes more than live music performances, funnel cakes, and camping along farmland.
Later at 10:00 we'll have a closer look at what makes defines the festival and makes it unique.
