People living in Lake County have put up with flooding 11 of the last 14 years, but this spring could be different.
The creek that runs through the middle of Madison is already free of ice and water levels are low. Still, county highway crews are keeping a close eye on bridges and culverts to make sure they stay open.
“We're looking at a good spring from a flooding stand point; we don't expect to see any." Lake County Emergency Manager Doug Huntrods said.
