The Growth Coach For Business

April 1, 2014, 10:10 PM by Angela Kennecke

The Growth Coach For Business

We've all heard that starting your own business is a 24/7 job.  But a Sioux Falls man who owns a business coaching franchise says the key to success is having some balance in your life.

Local Culver's franchise owner Nick Magera has five restaurants and counting.  He says that Steve Larsen, owner of The Growth Coach, has helped his business plan for future expansion.

"As a small business owner, we don't take the time to do that. We're so busy getting things done, making sure bills are paid and staff has things to do that we're not really developing a strategic mindset; a strategic plan for running the business," Magera said.

"What The Growth Coach process does is step by step, it points them to actions they should be taking to close the gap of where they are and where they want to be professionally and personally in their own lives," Larsen said.

Larsen says when your business is on track your life can have balance.

"By developing a strategic mindset, you're able to turn off work and live,” Magera said.

Larsen helps his clients face the reality of their current situation, figure out where they want to go and then holds them accountable as they work on a plan to get there.

"We need to make our business a business in a box; where it's not so dependent on us, where we empower other people and there are systems to follow so we can spend our time working on our business and not working in our business," Larsen said.

Magera says the Growth Coach has helped his business so much, he's now sent all seven of his managers through the program. Magera owns the four Culver's restaurants in Sioux Falls, one in Marshall, Minnesota, and has plans to open one in Denver.
