Monday's unseasonably cool air will be replaced by average and above average temperatures, but you'll need some patience. Temperatures will slowly warm over the next couple of days, with many locations in western and central KELOLAND returning to average or just above average on Friday.
Though there is a slight hiccup with a piece of energy that will bring in scattered rain for the weekend, temperatures will be closer to average in eastern KELOLAND. Be thankful for any rain you can get this weekend because the way it looks next week, you might just be searching for water.
After the weekend, a strong ridge should move in from the southwest and take over the central and northern plains. In turn, this will bring in summertime heat with many locations in the 80s and 90s but that shouldn't happen until next week.
In the meantime, the cool 60s and 70s will hang around through midweek.
