Tea's school board met Tuesday night to discus the future of the district following three failed bond issues.
They approved a motion to pass a resolution for the June meeting to use no more than $5.2 million in capital outlay funds to build the north side elementary school in Sioux Falls, near Lancaster & Ellis Road. This school could open by the fall of 2015. By using capital outlay funds the north side school will not come at an extra expense to tax payers.
The school board also decided to hold off on another bond vote until September. That's when they could try again for a primary school addition and performing arts center in Tea.
