It wasn't your typical leisurely run alongside a cornfield in Tea today.
Adventurous athletes gathered for the 2014 Z Warrior Run Saturday afternoon. The four-kilometer course featured a number of obstacles, including open flames. Participants even had to dodge people hiding in the course waiting to scare them.
“I'm a very casual athlete, is what I would call it. Not... You know, I jog. I do these 5k's from time to time, not anything really major. You don't have to be in the best shape, you can walk part of it if you want to. Yeah, there's a lot of obstacles; we've already crossed a few,” Kit Pflaum said.
Proceeds benefited firefighters, the State Theater and Roller Dollz.
