Sutton Bay CEO Dies In UTV Rollover Crash
Mark Amundson

AGAR, SD -

The CEO of Sutton Bay Resort in central South Dakota died after rolling his 2014 Polaris Ranger late Sunday night.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 55-year-old Mark Amundson was driving his Utility Task Vehicle on Sutton Bay Trail when he drifted off the road, overcorrected and then rolled the UTV. Amundson was ejected from the vehicle and died.

Sully County Sheriff Bill Stahl says Amundson was driving to his home from the Sutton Bay lodge when the crash happened. Stahl says Amundson crashed just before midnight Sunday night but his office didn’t get a call about the crash until 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Amundson was not wearing a seat belt.

The Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
