Two men arrested for crimes in three northeast counties are in prison after pleading guilty to burglary charges.
According to court reports, a judge sentenced 18-year-old Joey Severson of Pierpont to eight years in prison with three of those years suspended. Severson pleaded guilty to first degree burglary.
Nineteen-year-old Kris Freudenthal of Hecla received a four-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to third degree burglary.
Law enforcement officers from Day, Marshall and Brown counties arrested the men in August after a crime spree spanning those counties. Officers said they were involved with burglaries of Pierpont businesses and homes.
The court also ordered the men to pay victims for damages.
