A suspect in a string of South Dakota grand theft investigations was arrested after a late night car chase that stretched from Rapid City to Sturgis.
Rapid City police responded to a call just before midnight Friday in reference to a stolen vehicle. Police and Highway Patrol troopers pursued the tan 1997 Lincoln Continental on Interstate 90 to Sturgis, where Sturgis police deployed a tire deflation device and stopped the car.
Nineteen-year-old Angelo Richards, of Rapid City, was charged with eluding law enforcement, failing to report an accident, driving without a license, possession of a stolen vehicle, and several counts of grand theft involving vehicles and property. He has several outstanding warrants.
Richards was the sole occupant of the car.
