LEMMON, SD -
A man arrested after a car chase and standoff with police in the North Dakota city of Jamestown has been indicted on theft and burglary charges in South Dakota.
30-year-old Jeremy Blum of Mandan, North Dakota, was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday in connection with theft and burglaries in the Lemmon area on November 1. Blum was arrested November 9 after a two-hour incident that authorities say started with a car chase and ended with a standoff in downtown Jamestown. They say Blum put a gun to his head and threatened to kill himself before surrendering.
Blum faces several charges in that incident and also is wanted for alleged other crimes in North Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado.
