June 13, 2010, 5:42 PM
DEADWOOD, SD - A Deadwood man accused in a shooting that injured two of his neighbors has changed his plea to not guilty by
reason of insanity.
Terry Willis previously pleaded not guilty - but not with an insanity clause - to attempted first-degree murder, as well as
alternative charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and commission of a felony with a firearm.
Willis is accused of shooting Terry Steinbach and his adult son, Monte, on Feb. 12. Terry Steinbach was shot in the wrist and his
son in the abdomen.
Police reports say Willis claimed his wife and dogs had been harassed by his upstairs neighbors.
