A man who was taken into custody after a four-hour standoff in Sioux Falls is currently being held for a parole violation. That's according to both Attorney General Marty Jackley and the Brule County States Attorney David Natvig.
Authorities were looking for 36-year-old Kent Davidson for questioning in connection with a homicide investigation near Chamberlain on Thursday. They say 26-year-old Crystal Schulz was found dead in a shed in rural Chamberlain on Thursday. That's where the search for Davidson began.
Authorities caught up with him on Thursday night at an apartment complex near 16th Street and Spring Avenue in Sioux Falls.
After two hours of talking with a crisis negotiator and four hours on the scene, police say Davidson did surrender peacefully.
