Sunday Hold Up Injures SF Clerk

Sioux Falls Police say a gas station clerk was hit in the head with a handgun during a robbery early Sunday morning.

Police say a 6' tall, 200 pound black man walked into the Freedom store near the corner of 12th Street and Kiwanis Avenue around 4:00 a.m. Sunday. The suspect got some drinks from the cooler and then demanded cash from the clerk at gunpoint.

The clerk couldn't get the drawer open and the suspect hit him in the face with the gun. The suspect ran away and the clerk was left with a cut on his face.
