Friends and alumni of the Beloit Lutheran Orphan's Home are invited to attend a 150th anniversary reunion.  The reunion goes from 2-5 p.m. and includes a luncheon at Canton United Methodist Church in Canton, SD, followed by open tours of the former of the orphan's home across the border in Beloit, Iowa. You can also purchase picture books and raffle tickets to win an artist drawing of one of the orphanage buildings.

The Sioux Empire Fair wraps up today at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds with pro rodeo in the grandstand at 1:30 p.m.; a youth Lego contest at 3 p.m. at the Arts Center, the drum team Su Fu Du performs in the midway at 4 pm; Nathan Edwards performs on the front porch at 5 p.m. and play $1000 Bingo in the bingo tent at 5:30 p.m. Today's fair hours are from noon to 6 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $2 for children and free for kids 5 and under.

The Turner County Fair in Parker doesn't officially start until Monday, but there are a few events taking place today. A ranch rodeo will be held at the grandstand at 2 p.m. That's followed by a 4-H Cat Show at Henrietta's Hen House.  Then stick around for a free barbeque at Heritage Park at 4 p.m. There will also be an ice cream social on Parker's Main Street to celebrate South Dakota's 125th anniversary. Trams will be running to get people from the fairgrounds to main street.

Civil War Days wrap up today in Pipestone, Minnesota. You can visit soldier camps and re-enactors will discuss their roles in the war. There will be skirmishes between the North and the South culminating in a big afternoon battle at the Hiawatha Avenue Park. Grounds open at 8 a.m.

Minnehaha Archers is hosting a 3-D Rendezvous Archery Shoot from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $15 for adults, $10 for ages 12-17, $5 for kids 11 and younger. The Minnehaha Archers Outdoor Range is located next to Great Bear Recreation Park on Rice Street.

Get a taste of culture at New American Garden Market at the Hy Vee on East 10th Street in Sioux Falls. Vendors are selling their produce from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday morning through September. Proceeds will help refugee families from nine countries.

The Hartford Farmers Market runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hartford Building Center. The farmers market will be open every Sunday through October. The Hartford Building Center is located at 1001 North Oaks Avenue.

It's West Coast Swing Dance Sunday at Dance Ballroom & Studio. Lessons start at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $4. Dance Ballroom & Studio is located at 1200 East 57th Street in Sioux Falls.

Films playing at the Wells Fargo CineDome in the Washington Pavilion in downtown Sioux Falls include Maleficent, Godzilla, D-Day: Normandy 1944 and Waking the T-Rex: The Story of Sue.

New Hollywood releases playing at a theater near you include The Hundred-Foot Journey, rated PG; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Into the Storm, both rated PG-13.

Celebrate Community Church is hosting its 4th annual Car & Motorcycle Show. Vehicle check-in is at 2:30 p.m. an awards show is at 6 p.m. The church is located at 1000 S. Sycamore in Sioux Falls.

Sangria Sunday features live music and South Dakota wines at Strawbale Winery in Renner. The hours are from 1-4 p.m.  Admission is $5 a carload.
