Sunday Boredom Busters

The Singing Boys of Sioux Falls present their annual Mother's Day Concert at First Congregational Church.  The Concert Choir, Encore and Preparatory Choir will perform a selection of sacred and secular music at 3 pm.  A free will offering will be taken.  First Congregational Church is located at 300 South Minnesota Avenue.

The Sioux Empire Brass presents their Spring Concert at Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.  The 7 pm concert features brass arrangements of popular hymns and Broadway show tunes.  A free will offering will be taken.  Peace Lutheran is located at 5509 W. 41st Street.

High Plains Woodwinds presents a Spring Concert of classical music at 2 pm at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.  A free will offering will be taken.  Our Savior's Lutheran is located at 33rd and Summit in Sioux Falls.

Tour more than 75 new homes as part of the Spring Parade of Homes hosted by the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire.  Today's hours are from 1-5 pm.  Monday's hours are from 5:30-8:30 pm. The parade continues next weekend.  The homes are located throughout Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea and Lake Madison.

Take mom on a stroll through downtown Sioux Falls to check out the 55 new art exhibits on display during SculptureWalk.  The outdoor sculptures are along Phillips Avenue, Main Avenue and 8th Street. 

Worthing's Olde Towne Dinner Theatre presents Dearly Beloved at 6:30 pm.  Tickets are $38 and include dinner and the show.  The Olde Towne Dinner Theatre is located at 121 S. Main in Worthing.

The Historic Adams House and Days of '76 Museum in Deadwood are offering free admission to visiting mothers in honor of Mother's Day.  Today's hours are from 9 am to 5 pm.  The Adams House is located at 22 Van Buren Street in Deadwood.

The Sioux Empire Community Theatre presents the musical Les Miserables at 2 pm at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls.  Tickets are $20.

VFW Post 628 is hosting a Pancake Breakfast from 8:30 am to 1 pm.  The cost is $5, $2 for children.  The VFW is located at South Minnesota and Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls.

Burnside Game Place is hosting a special Kid's Day to celebrate Mother's Day.  Kids can play bingo for prizes and candy starting at 1 pm.  Moms can stay for the evening session and enjoy dinner and a free dessert followed by a giveaway of three spa packages.  Burnside Game Place is located at 1605 W. Burnside in Sioux Falls.

Movies playing at the Wells Fargo CineDome in the Washington Pavilion include Draft Day, The Lego Movie, Great White Shark and Watermelon Magic.

New Hollywood releases playing at a theater new you include Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return, Mom's Night Out, both rated PG and Neighbors, rated R.
