Sunday Boredom Busters

Groove Inc., a local youth drumline is holding a year-end extravaganza and fundraiser.  Drums 'n' Dogs begins at 4:30 pm at Roosevelt High School with a hot dog meal.  The cost is a free will offering. That's followed by the high-energy drumming of Groove Inc. at 5 pm.   Admission is $7, free for kids 3 and under.

Cinema Falls presents two showings of the Academy Award-nominated animated film Ernest & Celestine, rated PG.   The matinee is at 3 pm at the Icon Lounge in downtown Sioux Falls.  The evening showing is at 6:30 pm.  Tickets are $11.50,  $6.50 for kids at the matinee only.

The Lewis and Clark Home Builders Home Show in Yankton is for owners in all stages of building, remodeling landscaping and decorating their homes.   The show features product demonstrations, exhibits and door prizes.  The home show goes from noon to 4 pm at the Kiwanis 4-H Ice Arena.  Admission is $3, free for kids 12 and under.  You'll get a dollar off the price of admission with a non-perishable food donation to the Yankton Food Pantry.

Canistota Fire & Rescue is hosting a Pancake Feed at the Canistota Fire Hall.  Breakfast is served from 9 am to 1 pm.  The cost is a free-will offering.

Main Stage Ballet & Dance Academy presents the fairy tale Princess and the Pea.   The performance is at 2 pm at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Sioux Falls. 

The annual Gourmet Guys is a food-tasting fundraiser for Active Generations.  It goes from 4:30 to 7:30 pm.  Admission is $40.  Active Generations is located at 2300 W. 46th Street in Sioux Falls. 

Benson's Flea Market features antiques and collectibles on sale at the Expo Building of the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.  Hours are from 11 am to 4 pm.  Admission is $2, free for kids 12 and under.

Learn how to swing dance for free at the Old Courthouse Museum in downtown Sioux Falls.  Beginning lessons start at 1 pm with open dancing to follow from 1:40 to 4 pm.  All ages are welcome, no partners needed.
