Santa Claus will make an appearance at the indoor digital light display Christmas at the Western Mall.  Kids can get their pictures taken with Santa from 6-8 pm.  The cost is a free will donation to Make-A-Wish South Dakota.  Christmas at the Western Mall runs nightly from 5:30 to 9:30 through New Year's Day.

An outdoor holiday light display set to music is raising money for the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society.  Grasslands Christmas runs from 5 to 10 pm at 2805 North Lyme Grass Avenue in Sioux Falls. The display runs through New Year's Day.

Lewis Drug shoppers can meet Santa Claus at the Lewis at 26th & Sycamore in Sioux Falls.  Santa's hours are from noon to 4 pm.

The Hegg Brothers perform a Holiday Jam at The Dakota Theatre in Yankton.  The jam begins at 4 pm.  Tickets are $20.  The Dakota Theatre is located at 328 Walnut Street in Yankton.

Deadwood's historic Adams House is elegantly decked out in Victorian finery during hourly Holiday Tours from noon to 4 pm.  Admission is $5 for adults, $2 for children, free for members and kids 6 and younger.  The Adams House is located at 22 Van Buren Street in Deadwood.

Canton Lutheran Church is hosting a living nativity called  An Evening at the Stable.  The performances are at 5:30, 6 & 6:30 pm.  The church choir will perform a Cantata Holy Night of Miracles at 4 pm.  The Canton Lutheran youth will serve a soup supper.  The church is located at 204 East 2nd Street in Canton.

Terry Peak in the northern Black Hills is now open seven days a week.  The ski resort reports great snow conditions with a  base up to two-feet.

Enjoy holiday lights outdoors at Falls Park for Winter Wonderland.  The park will light up every night through January 5th.

Ride the Holiday Train at Prairie Village, just west of Madison, SD.   Enjoy the train's heated passenger car or heated caboose and sing along with the holiday songs. Take in the evening sights touring historic Prairie Village while sipping hot cider. The Holiday Train runs from 5:30 to 8 pm.  Your free will donation will help restore the Prairie Village carousel.
