Sunday Boredom Busters

     Works by more than two-dozen local and regional artists are on display at the Artists of the Plains Art Show & Sale.
     It's at the Holiday Inn City Centre in downtown Sioux Falls from 10 am to 3:30 pm.
     Bids on selected silent auction pieces will be taken up until 2 pm.
     Augustana College art students will also show and sell their works

     A benefit in memory of Ron Koupal, who recently passed away from cancer, will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Beseda Hall in Tabor.
     The benefit includes bingo, a raffle, a bake sale and a live auction.
     Live music will follow.

     The South Dakota Friends of Traditional Music presents a Fan Appreciation Concert from 2-4 pm at the Canton High School Auditorium.
     The free concert features the Fiddler Nelson Band.

    Check out the antique and collectible toys and games on display and for sale at the 32nd annual Midwest Toy Show.
     It's at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls from 9 am to 3:30 pm.

     It's a Get Up & Play Weekend during the annual Healthy Yankton Winter Festival.
     The day includes hockey games starting at 9 am; a fitness class and a snow scurry both at 2 pm, disc golf at 3 pm and open skating at the ice center.
     The winter festival runs through Monday.

     Meet with some of the premier wedding professionals in the region at the Sioux Empire Wedding Showcase.
     It's at the Sioux Falls Convention Center from noon to 4 pm.
     Admission is $5.

     An archeologist with the National Park Service will share the history unveiled at an 18th century fort on the shores of Lake Superior during today's Third Sunday Archeology Program at Augustana College.
     Jay Sturdevant's free talk begins at 2 pm in the Gilbert Science Center Auditorium.

     It's a matinee performance of the comedy Rex's Exes at the Matthews Opera House and Arts Center in Spearfish.
     The curtain rises at 2 pm.
     Tickets are $15, $5 for youth and Black Hills State University students.

     Enjoy classic and contemporary country music during The Dakota Opry from 2-4 pm at the VFW on South Minnesota Avenue in Sioux Falls.
     Tickets are $10, free for kids 10 and under.
