Sunday Boredom Busters

SIOUX FALL, SD -

     Help support the Veteran's Build program during a Chili Challenge at Active Generations in Sioux Falls.
     The challenge goes from 4-7 pm.
     It costs $25 to enter the competition, admission to the event is a $5 donation.
     Contestants will compete for hundreds of dollars in prizes.
     There will also be a silent auction.
     Money raised will help build a home for a South Dakota veteran family.
     Active Generations is located at 2300 W. 46th Street.

     The Greater Sioux Falls Outdoor Show wraps up today at the Expo Building at the W.H; Lyon Fairgrounds.
     Today's hours are from 10 am to 4 pm.
     Admission is $5, free for kids under 12.

     The Sioux Empire Community Theatre presents the comedy The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) in the Anne Zabel Studio of the downtown Orpheum Theater.
     The performance is at 2:30 pm.
     Tickets are $10.

     First Assembly of God church is hosting a Martin Luther King, Jr. Musical Celebration beginning at 7 pm.
     The concert includes choirs, dancers and worship teams celebrating Dr. King's civil rights legacy and his I Have a Dream speech.
     First Assembly of God is located at 6300 West 41st Street in Sioux Falls.

     Lynn Alex, of the University of Iowa, will discuss recent discoveries at the Kimball Village in northwest Iowa as part of the Third Sunday Archeology series.
     The free presentation is at 2 pm in the Gilbert Science Center on the campus of Augustana College.
  
    It's a Prom Party Xtravaganza Weekend at Elegant Xpressions in Sioux Falls.
     Dresses will be sold at discount through Monday with part of the proceeds going to Children's Miracle Network.
     There will also be special giveaways, while supplies last.
     Today's hours are from noon to 4 pm.
     Monday's hours are 10 am to 8 pm.
     Elegant Xpressions is located at Bridges on 57th, at the intersection of 57th Street and Western Avenue.

     The Dance Gallery of South Dakota presents Sleeping Beauty at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls.
     The performances are at 1 pm and 4:30 pm.
     Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children.

     The Greater Sioux Falls Outdoor Show has something for every outdoor enthusiast.
     It's at the Expo Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds today from 10 am to 4 pm.
     Tickets are $5, free for kids under 12.
