Sunday Boredom Busters

     The Sioux Falls Seminary Community Choir presents Handel's Messiah.
     The concert is at 3 pm at First Baptist Church at 22nd and Covell in Sioux Falls.
     A free will offering will go to student financial aid.

     The Madison Master Singers present a Christmas Concert at 4:30 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Madison, SD.
     Tickets are $5, $1 for students.

     Winterfest in Luverne, MN wraps up with a Free Christmas Movie at the Palace Theater.
     Enjoy the new version of Miracle on 34th Street at 2 pm.

     Santa Claus visits the Cinema Falls Holiday Film Party  at the Icon Lounge in downtown Sioux Falls.
     Live holiday music will be part of the social hour beginning at 5:30 pm.
     That's followed by the documentary Becoming Santa at 6:30 pm.
     Tickets are $11.50.

     Christmas Is Here is a fun, family-oriented concert featuring musician Jill Miller at the downtown Orpheum Theater.
     The performance is at 4 pm.
     Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children.

     Also at the Orpheum, the Sioux Empire Community Theatre presents The Hobbit in the Anne Zabel Studio.
     The performance is at 4 pm.
     Tickets are $5.

     Christmas at the Western Mall is a holiday light display set to music.
     The hours are from 5:30 to 9:30 pm at the Western Mall in Sioux Falls.
     Your donations will go to Make-A-Wish South Dakota.
     The display runs nightly through New Year's Day.

     Falls Park has been converted into a Winter Wonderland for the holidays.
     The park will display holiday lights every night through January 6th.
     There are also free trolley rides each Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm.
     The visitors center is open from 10 am to 10 pm weekend

     Christmas on the Prairie is a holiday concert featuring the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra.
     The performance is at 3 pm at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hoven.
     Tickets are $30 will proceeds benefiting church restoration.

     Walk Through Bethlehem is a Live Nativity at United Methodist Church in Webster.
     It goes from 1-5:30 pm.

     First Lutheran Church in Worthington, MN is hosting a Lutefisk & Meatball Dinner.
     They'll have two servings: the first at 2:30 pm followed by another at 5:30 pm.

     The Freeman Area Children's Choir performs a Holiday Concert at the Salem Zion Mennonite Church North in Freeman.
     The concert is at 4:30 pm.

     Cut your own Christmas trees at Riverview Christmas Tree Farm in Canton.
     You can also visit Santa and see animals in the Nativity stable from noon to 5 pm.
     The farm is hosting daily tree cuttings through December 15th.

     Find everything from antiques to collectibles at Benson's Flea Market.
     It's at the Expo Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds from 11 am to 4 pm.
     Admission in $2, kids 12 and under are free.

     Main Street Canistota will be aglow for the holidays with its annual Parade of Lights beginning at 5:30 pm.
     Following the parade, there will be a soup and sandwich supper served at the Canistota School.
