Sunday Boredom Busters

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

     Christmas at the Western Mall is a holiday light display set to music.
     The hours are from 5:30 to 9:30 pm at the Western Mall in Sioux Falls.
     Your donations will go to Make-A-Wish South Dakota.
     The display runs nightly through New Year's.

     Discover the Dinosaurs is a hands-on animatronic display of pre-historic creatures at the Sioux Falls Convention Center this weekend.
     Today's hours are from 10 am to 7 pm.
     Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for kids and seniors, free for children 2 and under.

     Main Stage Ballet and Dance Academy present The Nutcracker at the downtown Orpheum Theater.
     The performance is at 2 pm.
     Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for kids.

     Falls Park has been converted into a Winter Wonderland for the holidays.
     The park will display holiday lights every night through January 6th.
     There are also free trolley rides each Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm.
     The visitors center is open from 10 am to 10 pm weekends.

     Today's the final day the city's two leaf and tree branch drop-off sites are open..
     They're located on East Chambers Street by the Household Hazardous Waste Facility, and other other site is on North Lyon Boulevard, west of the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.
     The hours are from noon to 5 pm.
     It's $2 a carload.

     Learn how to Swing Dance for free at the Old Courthouse Museum in downtown Sioux Falls.
     Beginning lessons will be held from 1-1:30 pm with open dancing from 1:30 to 4 pm.
     No partners are needed and all ages are welcome.

     Grace Lutheran Church in Luverne, MN is hosting an Organ Rededication Hymn Festival.
     Nationally-known church musician John Ferguson will perform at 3 pm.

     Cut your own Christmas trees at Riverview Christmas Tree Farm in Canton.
     You can also visit Santa and see animals in the Nativity stable from noon to 5 pm.
     The farm is hosting daily tree cuttings through December 15th.
