Sunday Boredom Busters

     Augustana Lutheran Church is hosting a free Thanksgiving Meal.
     They'll be serving from noon to 1:30 pm.
     Everyone's invited.
     Augustana Lutheran is located at 235 North Prairie.

     Enjoy a night of Music & Desserts at Aberdeen's First Assembly of God Church.
     Specialty desserts will be served accompanied by musical performances starting at 6:30 pm.
     It's free to attend.
     Proceeds from a silent auction will go to the Women's Ministries projects.
     First Assembly of God is located at 1424 24th Avenue NW.

     The Sioux Empire Brass performs a Holiday Concert at Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.
     The concert is at 4 pm.
     A free will offering will be taken.
     Peace Lutheran is located at 5509 W. 41st Street.

     The Augustana College Department of Performing and Visual Arts presents the comedy Inspecting Carol.
     The performance is at 2:30 pm at the Edith Mortenson Theatre on the Augustana campus.
     Tickets are $15, $10 for seniors.

     Check out model train layouts from throughout the region during Trains at Christmas in the Expo Building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.
     It goes from 11 am to 4 pm.
     Admission is $4 for adults, free for kids under 12.

     Learn how to Swing Dance for free at the Old Courthouse Museum in downtown Sioux Falls.
     Beginning lessons will be held from 1-1:30 pm with open dancing from 1:30 to 4 pm.
     No partners are needed and all ages are welcome.

     Falls Park has been converted into a Winter Wonderland for the holidays.
     The park will display holiday lights every night through January 6th.
     The visitors center is open from 10 am to 10 pm weekends.

     Asbury United Methodist Church is hosting an Alternative Gift Market from 8 am to noon in the Hospitality Room.
     Members of the Asbury Mission Committee will be available to help shoppers browse and select gifts from thirty different projects.
     Asbury United Methodist is located at 2425 S. Western Avenue in Sioux Falls.

     Country music blends with Christmas music at The Dakota Opry.
     The music plays from 2-4 pm at the Sioux Falls VFW on South Minnesota Avenue.
     Tickets are $10, free for kids 10 and under.

     The Pipestone Gun Show features tables of guns, knives and accessories, plus breakfast and lunch specials.
     The gun show is at National Guard Armory, located at 421 Second Avenue in Pipestone, Minnesota.
     Hours are from 9 am to 3 pm.
     Admission is $4, free for kids 12 and under.

     Four film shorts by local and regional filmmakers are featuring during CineFest hosted by the Cinema Falls film series at the Icon Lounge in downtown Sioux Falls.
     A social hour begins at 5:30 pm, the program begins at 6:30 pm.
     Tickets are $11.50.
