Sunday Boredom Busters

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

     The Team Teresa Benefit will help Sioux Falls cancer patient Teresa Devericks pay for her treatment expenses.
     The benefit at St. Katharine Drexel Parish will include food, a bake sale, silent auction, and inflatables starting at 5 pm.
     A live auction follows at 6:30 pm.
     The parish is located at 26th and Tea Ellis Road.

     Hundreds of cars are on display in downtown Canton for the Canton Area Car Show.
     Admission is $5, kids under 14 get in for free.
     The show begins at 11 am.
     Live music starts at 1 pm.
     Awards for each class will be named starting at 4 pm.

     Battle your friends with squirt guns, Super Soakers and other water-spraying toys at Super Soaker Sunday Night.
     It's at Spellerberg Park in Sioux Falls starting at 6:30 pm.

     Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is hosting an open house for its new Early Childhood Center.
     The free open house is from noon until 3 pm.
     Good Shepherd Lutheran is located at 57th and Southeastern in Sioux Falls.

     Enjoy an afternoon of classic and contemporary country music at The Dakota Opry.
     It goes from 2-5 pm at the Moose Lounge in Sioux Falls.
     Tickets are $10, free for kids 10 and under.

     The Sioux Falls Municipal Band performs two free concerts today.
     The first is at 3 pm at McKennan Park.
     That's followed by an 8 pm performance at Terrace Park.

     The Advocates for Creative Theatre Students presents Shakespeare in the Square: Romeo & Juliet.
     The performance is at 8:30 pm at Rapid City's Main Street Square.
     The performance is free, but any donations will go to future productions and scholarships for theatre students.

     Beauty in the Beast explores the fury and the majesty of South Dakota weather.
     The exhibit is in the Visual Arts Center of the Washington Pavilion.
     The exhibit runs through August 12th.

     Bring a picnic lunch to Strawbale Winery near Renner for Sangria Sunday.
     You can listen to live music and enjoy summer wines from 1-4 pm.
     The cost is $5 a carload.

     The Grand Falls Casino in Larchwood, Iowa is also hosting a Farmer's Market.
     It goes from 10 am to 1 pm in the casino parking lot every Sunday through August.

     Experience the history of Sioux Falls in digital sound and laser lights.
     The Falls Park Sound & Light Show takes place a half-hour past sunset.
     The free shows are held nightly at Falls Park through Labor Day weekend.

     It's the All-Star Circuit of Champions at Huset's Speedway in Brandon.
     Races start at 7 pm.
     Tickets are $25, $5 for juniors, free for kids 7 and under.
