The cold air during the mornings this week reminds me of 1997 when we went through the same thing. So I decided to look at what the following summer brought and here is what I found.
June was very close to average with the highs and lows during the month at about a degree or two ABOVE average. Rain was fairly close to average with it being only fifteen hundredths light.
July was turned slightly cooler than average. It was two degrees cooler for the high temps, the month was also slightly below average for rain.
The cool weather continued in August with the average high another two degrees below average. The rain also shut-off with an amount almost half of average.
By the way, May of 1997 had an average high of sixty-four degrees, that's six degrees below the climate average. Our average high so far is sixty-three. Rain for May of '97 was slightly above average with three point fifty-eight, we currently have just over an inch.
