State Attorney General Marty Jackley says he will continue to work with the city of Sturgis to plan its response to a court ruling that favored the owner of an adult entertainment store in the western South Dakota city.
The owner of Dick and Jane's Naughty Spot said last week he had no plans to move the business after a federal judge ruled the city had violated his rights.
Jackley says that his office is talking with city officials to decide whether to appeal the court ruling, look at changing state law or consider changing the city's zoning ordinance.
Jackley says U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Viken ruled the state's zoning scheme is constitutional but there were problems in how it was applied in Sturgis.
