Thirteen undergraduate students from South Dakota colleges and universities will bring their research work to the state Capitol on Thursday and presenting their projects to residents and state lawmakers.
The 2014 Student Research Poster Session runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the rotunda.
Board of Regents executive director Jack Warner says the purpose is to allow state policymakers to meet these beneficiaries of their research investments. Students get to learn more about how public policy decisions impact higher education.
2014 marks the 17th year for the poster session, which features students from public, private and tribal colleges pursuing research in a variety of disciplines.
