The holiday spirit was all around this afternoon as volunteers filled Edison Middle School in Sioux Falls making blankets to help families stay warm this winter.
It's called Project Warm Up. The organization was started by Tracy Vik, the Assistant Principal at Edison Middle School, and her three daughters.
Project Warm Up is in its seventh year and counties to grow.
"We hand these out, not only at the holiday time but when a family in the school district has a fire and losses their belongings. We always try to make sure we have some on hand to give out," Vik said.
