Storm Tracker App Gets A Facelift

June 5, 2013, 6:17 PM by Scot Mundt

Storm Tracker App Gets A Facelift

The power of the Storm Center just got a facelift with its new and improved app.

Many of you have already downloaded the KELOLAND Live Doppler Storm Tracker App. It gives you the convenience of the KELOLAND Live Doppler Radar, the forecast and other useful tools all in the palm of your hand.

But our app just got even better, with an update which includes many more features. Storm Tracker now includes a blog section where you'll be able to read the twice daily updates from the Storm Center, along with recent weather-related stories.

One of the most impressive new features is the "alerts" function.  When you allow push notifications from the app, you can specify what types of notifications you'd like to receive.  You can choose from such options as getting alerts to tell you about storms approaching your location to tornado warnings.

These features can also be programmed to three fixed locations such as your home, work or school. But you also have the option to turn on the GPS feature which will allow you to get alerts for wherever you go.

So, if your device asks you to install the update to the Storm Tracker App, do it.  And if you haven't downloaded it yet, do that too.

The KELOLAND Live Doppler Storm Tracker App will come in handy as severe weather strikes.
