Storm Spins Up Tornado Warning
MINNEHAHA COUNTY, SD -

UPDATED at 4:50 p.m.: Southeast KELOLAND saw a tornado, funnel clouds, hail and heavy rain Thursday afternoon.  The severe weather developed quickly.

Multiple tornado warnings were issued after a cell popped up near Hartford that included funnel clouds.

WEATHER ALERTS

Heavy rain and small size hail was reported on the northwest side of Sioux Falls.  Tornado sirens have sounded twice in the city.

Shoppers at the Empire Mall were moved to a storm shelter and so were shoppers at Wal-Mart.  At least two funnel clouds were reported by storm spotters west of Hartford and just minutes later west of Sioux Falls.

Flash flooding is being reported in downtown Sioux Falls.

A tornado was confirmed on the ground near Canton before the storm moved into Iowa, but there was no damage reported with that.
