Storm Center Update-Wednesday AM

SIOUX FALLS, SD - We have rain and snow across portions of KELOLAND this morning, including Sioux Falls. Most of the amounts have remained light, although Pine Ridge has had .40”, which is one of the heavier amounts we’ve seen so far. The clouds and showers will head south this morning with breezy north winds continuing. With highs in the lower to middle 40s, it will feel cool today, but nothing unexpected for November.
Mostly clear skies are expected tonight and it will be cold as the wind diminishes. Lows will be upper teens in the north with lower 20s in the south, one of our coldest mornings so far this fall.
Winds will start increasing from the south in western KELOLAND tomorrow and that stronger winds will move through the rest of the region Friday and Saturday ahead of a strong area of low pressure. This storm system will be a fast mover, but a shot of wind and blowing snow will be possible in western and central KELOLAND Saturday and Saturday night before the storm moves into North Dakota on Sunday. Temperatures will be coldest behind the low with highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s on Sunday. The mercury will slowly rise again early next week.
