We have another cold morning in KELOLAND with chances of snow increasing in western areas today. Highs will range from the upper teens in the northeast, to the lower 40s in the far southwest. We’ll keep a close eye on the radar trends this afternoon in western SD with snow likely and even a few rain showers in the far southwest. The snow will expand into the Missouri River valley tonight. This system will produce mainly light snow with a general 1-3” snowfall likely. The snow will have a hard time reaching Sioux Falls until late tonight. In fact, much of tomorrow will feature snow more likely west of I-29. Dry air will make it hard for the snow to press over into SW MN and NW IA.
Snow chances will redevelop in western KELOLAND tomorrow afternoon and temperatures will remain chilly across the region. In fact, it will stay below normal the entire 7-day forecast. No major snow is ahead, with the biggest part of the new weekend storm heading south of KELOLAND.
