A cold front will continue to drop south this morning and that will give us cooler weather today. Highs will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s in most areas.
A few sprinkles can be found on radar this morning, but most areas will be dry. While north winds will be breezy, the wind from the south will be a bigger headline tomorrow.
South winds will be 20-30+ tomorrow and that will lead to higher fire danger as temperatures move higher into the 60s. This will take place ahead of a storm system set to impact KELOLAND this weekend.
Futurescan shows the first areas of rain arriving in southern KELOLAND Friday evening and spreading slowly north overnight.
Some embedded thunder will be possible with this first round of rain, with a second round possible Saturday afternoon. Even some severe weather will be possible in parts IA.
Temperatures will be much warmer in southeastern KELOLAND closer to the low track into the upper 60s to lower 70s. The rain chances will end Saturday night with highs staying in the 60s on Sunday.
Another chance of rain will head our way by Tuesday night and Wednesday, but temperatures will stay mild, mainly in the 60s.
