Scattered light rain and snow showers continue to dot parts of western and northern KELOLAND. It’s windy out there too, especially in eastern KELOLAND where Sisseton has reported winds gusts near 50mph.

Expect highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s and winds to slow down from west to east during the day. Futurecan shows the strongest winds today in eastern KELOLAND over 30mph.

That wind will remain chilly as the planner keeps temperatures mainly in the upper 40s in Sioux Falls both at noon and again at 5pm.

A cold night is forecast tonight with a hard freeze across all of KELOLAND. A freeze warning has been issued for most of our counties West River.

A few light snow showers could develop across the far west by tonight and this activity may continue tomorrow around Hot Springs. Here's a look at Futurescan for tomorrow morning.

Colder weather will continue into the weekend with the coldest air arriving on Saturday. A slight warming trend is forecast by early next week with more dry weather ahead in the 7 day forecast.
