Pleasant Temperatures Forecast Today…More Chances of Rain Ahead Tomorrow and Friday…
High pressure is building into KELOLAND this morning and that will give a pleasant weather day with highs into the upper 70s to lower 80s. This will put less stress on crops that still need rain…especially to the southwest of Sioux Falls. Winds will be from the west or northwest at 10-15mph.
We do expect isolated showers and t-storms tonight in the Pierre and Aberdeen areas tonight. Some of this activity could affect Sioux Falls by tomorrow morning, but heavy rain is not expected. Showers and thunderstorms are more likely to develop in western KELOLAND Friday afternoon and spread to the east Friday night through Saturday morning. This is going to be very important for some of the dry spots in southeastern KELOLAND that really need some rain. Some of the storms will be heavy, but the location of the heaviest rain is still uncertain.
The weather pattern is looking quiet early next week with warm temperatures in the mid 80s to lower 90s. Another disturbance will be affecting KELOLAND by midweek.
