SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Look for another cold day in KELOLAND, but warmer trends are on the way. Highs this afternoon will range from about 9 in Aberdeen to 22 in Rapid City. Winds will be from the southwest at 5-15mph. A few flurries will accompany the clouds today, so don’t be surprised if you see a few snowflakes in the air.
Look for another cold night tonight before a warmer trend tomorrow. Highs on Tuesday will climb back into the 20s in many areas, with mid 30s likely in Rapid City. A few snow showers will develop in the far west, but this doesn’t look like a major system at this time.
Warmer weather will arrive on Wednesday with widespread 30s and 40s. It will be windy with northwest winds over 30mph at times. Temperatures will stay mild through the rest of the week, although Thursday may be a little colder. Friday’s highs should be warmer again, with 40s possibly more widespread again.
The weekend is looking colder with another arctic front diving south, giving us another round of wind and falling temperatures late Saturday into Sunday.
