Storm Center Update-Monday AM

Areas of snow have coated western KELOLAND with general amounts of 1-3” reported.  The roads are slippery in many areas, but the slush and snow will be melting today as temperatures return to the 30s this afternoon with increasing sunshine.  Sioux Falls and much of the east has missed the snow, but cold weather will be the story today with highs in the upper 20s.  Winds will be mainly light at 5-15mph. 

Partly cloudy skies are forecast tonight with lows dropping into the teens in the east, with a few low 20s in the west.  Warmer weather will be moving east tomorrow with upper 30s and lower 40s returning to KELOLAND.  Temperatures will moving toward warmer numbers by the end of the week as we watch a big bubble of mild Pacific air moving in our direction by the weekend.  It’s a little early to get specific, but the initial numbers are very impressive this weekend.  Record highs may be hard to reach, but there is the potential for widespread 55-65 degree weather at some point toward the end of the 7 day forecast.
