SIOUX FALLS, SD -
We have mostly cloudy skies in the forecast today as temperatures remain below normal. Highs this afternoon are forecast into the upper 30s to lower 40s with west winds at 10-20mph.

A few areas of clearing tonight combined with light winds will result in chilly overnight lows in the upper teens to lower 20s. The forecast will stay chilly as we start the weekend, but a developing warm front will trigger scattered rain and snow showers on Saturday and Saturday night. Sioux Falls will have the best chance of snow Saturday evening.

Highs will slowly warm next week into the 50s by the end of the 7 day forecast. Temperatures will be warmer in western SD where 60s will be possible by the middle of next week. By the way, Hurricane Sandy will be making an impact on the east coast starting this weekend. That storm could have a major impact on that part of the country, something to watch the next few days.
