A cold front is pressing south across KELOLAND this morning with cooler weather and north winds this morning. We also have some light showers south of I-90, a trend that we really need. Unfortunately, this is not a pattern for heavy rain, but anything we can get at this point helps. Look for highs today in the mid to upper 60s across the east, with 70s in the west.
Temperatures will be much cooler overnight with lows in the lower to middle 40s under mostly clear skies. Sunny skies are expected in many areas tomorrow with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Warmer trends will ahead by Sunday, but it’s still looking dry to wrap up the weekend. Hotter and dry weather will continue on Monday with very high fire danger across KELOLAND. Winds could be rather breezy from the southwest, so we’ll need to monitor trends in the forecast. We have very little chance for rain in the 7-day forecast with highs cooling once again by Wednesday as the drought continues.
