Look for a warm day in much of KELOLAND with more fire danger in the west. We have a red flag warning for most areas West River today for extreme fire weather this afternoon. Highs will stay in the 90s for Pierre and Rapid City, while Sioux Falls and Aberdeen will be cooler in the mid to upper 80s. A few sprinkles or showers are possible in northern and western KELOLAND, but amounts look to be light.
The Labor Day weekend is looking very warm with highs mainly in the 90s both Saturday and Sunday. The fire danger will remain high as well through the weekend, so be extra careful as you plan activities outdoors.
Warm weather will continue through early next week, with a bigger cold front arriving by late Tuesday into Wednesday. This will give us a chance of scattered rain and highs in the 70s by Wednesday.
