SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Look for mostly cloudy skies today areas of fog and drizzle. Also, a light mix of precipitation continues to develop across western South Dakota, a trend that will work its way northeast throughout the day. The amount of moisture will stay light. The Sioux Falls area will see scattered showers today, with a possible rumble of thunder into western Minnesota into northern Iowa. Highs in northwestern Iowa today will be in the mid to upper 50s.
Conditions will be clearing tonight from west to east with lows in the lower to middle 30s. This will set the stage for a warmer day tomorrow with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s. The trick-or-treat weather forecast looks fine, with temperatures mainly in the mid to upper 40s by early evening.
Looking ahead toward the end of the week, temperatures will hover in the upper 40s to low 50s with more wind from the northwest on Friday. Stronger south winds will develop this weekend, but temperatures will remain in mostly in the 50s.
We do see another storm system affecting the area by next Tuesday, so there is something to watch the long range forecast. Right now, rain or snow will be possible with the best chances setting up in southern KELOLAND.
