Storm Center Update-4 a.m. Update

April 18, 2013, 3:42 AM by Brian Karstens

SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Winter storm warnings remain in effect today for parts of eastern KELOLAND including Sioux Falls, Brookings, Pipestone, Worthington, Watertown, Milbank, Sisseton, and Marshall.  A general 3-7” snowfall is expected today with gusty north winds and highs in the lower 30s.  Locally higher totals are possible across parts of SW MN.

More areas of showers will arrive in KELOLAND Sunday and Monday, perhaps cold enough again for some snow mixed in across western SD.  It looks like it will be several more days before we have a chance of temperatures returning to near normal again.  At least we are getting moisture…a new drought monitor will be released today and should show more improvement in this part of the country.

We’ll be watching the latest trends this morning and will have updates on KELOLAND This Morning and another update here at KELOLAND.com after 7am.
