Areas of rain continue across KELOLAND. As of 7am, southwest Sioux Falls is reporting up to .50”. Some of the heaviest 24 hour rainfall totals are coming in north of Gregory where 3” has fallen. The Rapid City area had a heavy downpour last evening with locally 2” there.
Widespread rain is expected along a line from Pierre to Yankton today, with a dramatic drop off in rainfall towards the Brookings-Marshall-Watertown-Aberdeen areas. Highs will be mainly in the 70s today with east winds at 5-15 mph.
Rain chances will slowly decline tonight in southeastern KELOLAND with lows mainly in the lower 60s. We’ll maintain a 30% chance of rain in Sioux Falls tomorrow morning, but most areas will see a drier trend.
Another wave of energy could give us scattered showers and thunderstorm by late Friday into Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms will also be possible both Saturday and Sunday across KELOLAND. Highs will stay in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
