Another pleasant day is in the forecast across KELOLAND with highs just a bit warmer in most areas in the lower to middle 80s. Lighter north winds are expected in Sioux Falls, with a southeast breeze developing in Rapid City. We will keep an eye on radar trends in SW SD as scattered showers and t-storms are possible today. This area of scattered rain will slide southeast into Nebraska tonight.
Look for more wind tomorrow from the southeast at 15-25 mph in eastern KELOLAND. This should help prime the atmosphere for clusters of showers and t-storms tomorrow in western SD. These areas of rain should move east tomorrow evening, with chances of rain at 40-60% in most areas. The chances of rain will linger on Friday in the southeast.
Highs will be warmer too, mainly in the mid to upper 80s. Pierre could hit 90.
While the weekend still looks mild, a big change is coming early next week. A strong Canadian front will move into KELOLAND Sunday night, bringing much cooler weather to the region. Highs by Tuesday could be 15-20 degrees below normal with north winds.
